As an insurance and risk consulting professional for 30 years, I learned a great deal about construction from working with contractors and managing difficult business and risk situations with my client teams. I found that a great deal of the problems with projects were the result of poor communication, planning and sometimes even a lack of transparency, so as result, I have always prioritized these in my construction business. I carefully manage client expectations and communicate clearly what is being done both with my crew and the client. My team is empowered to work autonomously to facilitate cost efficiency but is also appropriately monitored to ensure that projects stay on track, within budget and any mistakes held to an absolute minimum. Client satisfaction is of paramount importance to me.
I’ve been involved directly with construction work for over 10 years and have been operating Ross Construction Services full time since 2014, incorporating in 2017, when I hired my present project team, and started doing larger residential projects and property management firm work. I have a full spectrum of residential construction experience, which includes major repairs, renovations and remodeling work. Practically 100% of my work comes via referral, so it’s extremely important that my clients are completely happy.
I work with designers, realtors, property managers and insurance companies. Less than 10% of my work is commercial. I subcontract licensed trade work such as major plumbing and electrical, roofing and flooring. Outside of project work, I continue to self-perform handyman-styled services including repairs, which I have been doing for over 10 years. In addition to holding an MHIC license #118071, I am also bonded and insured.
